It’s back to school season and the platform is buzzing with activities :)

Specifically, we are proud to announce that we have started the deployment of Qorvo’s DWM3001CDK in Blagnac. This next generation UWB-powered device brings the compatibility with FiRa devices (including the latest IPhone’s U1 and U2 chips). New intuitive use-cases of user-interaction can now be imagined on the LocURa4IoT testbed.

The DWM3001CDK can interact with already deployed DM1001-DEV devices via channel 5 and both versions support BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) communications via the nRF52833. This multi-protocol chip also supports NFC, Thread and Zigbee. This will allow for new developments in fields ranging (no pun intended!) from Asset tracking to healthcare staff and patient location.

Next step, making it Arduino-compatible!
